It is the most famous mountain situated in the Khumbu Himal and just southwest of Mount Everest. The stunning mountain, Nuptse was first climbed by the British expedition on May 16, 1961.The name Nuptse came after the Tibetan name which means west-peak as it is placed in the western part of Lhotse-Nuptse-Massif. The North face route is difficult because of the steep ice and rock, but it offers a Challenging and rewarding experience for the expeditors. The south face of the Nuptse is 2500m high and 5km wide which makes the mountain very attractive to look at.
